As the president of SRC, I have two main roles. Obviously, I am the representative of Raffles University students. I have to attend a few meetings or conference as the president of RU SRC to communicate with the other SRC of the universities in EduCity.
On the other hand, I work behind the scene as well. As the president, I volunteer to guide and lead my fellow committee and the Raffles students. In my opinion, I believe that if the leader does not move, no one in the team will move as well. With that said, my main character in the team is to inspire, be the one who always is the first to start off everything. At the same time, I have to ensure everyone is distributed with the tasks that suit them and the workload is equally distributed.
Finally, I am happy and satisfied with the SRC 2019-2020. They are hard-working and very supportive. One thing that impressed me is that none of us gave up when the pandemic hit us. We are still running as SRC, completing our tasks during the pandemic. I hope the next team will carry our legacy.

After over a year after being appointed at the Vice President of the Student Representative Council in Raffles University, the experience has been very great and fulfilling time well spent in University.
Being the VP of SRC helps me to develop my abilities in leadership and teamwork via the activities we have done as a team.
I had the opportunity to deliver feedback between students and the university in order to ensure a comprehensive university lifestyle for all the students. Other than that, I have also faced a challenge to plan and communicate with people from different faculties and also universities which further enhanced my leadership skills and university exposure.

"I have the privilege to be selected as an SRC secretary. Throughout 2019 - 2020, I have met a lot of Raffles students that come from different faculties. I manage to listen and discuss and collect their suggestions in our weekly meetings.
I have learned to be outspoken and open-minded to different opinions. Whenever I am available, I constantly ask the Uni mates for suggestions on what else can be done by SRC. Through the suggestions and advice from them, SRC manages to continue improving.
I am truly grateful to have such a team of amazing and cooperative teammates. In my opinion, I think we have learned the most from each other as we are studying at different faculties."
